Today officially marks the rebranding of Lexmark.
One major change is the logo.
Starting this very date (April 7, 2015), a new Lexmark logo will be used, replacing the old black and white “Lexmark” text with diamond in the letter A.
Behold the new logo:
The world still sees Lexmark as a printer brand. But with the several strategic software acquisition, Lexmark has transformed and expanded its offerings.
The logo shows four panels that acts as an aperture. It represents how Lexmark expand views and focus on information.
Like an aperture, widining it reflects an expanding set of capabilities that Lexmark have.
And by tightening, it reflects focus. It focus on industry/customer-specific view.
The center of the aperture forms a diamond. The diamond remains in the new logo because this is a heritage symbol for Lexmark.
The font is a special font called the Hero font which shows its being modern, friendly and approachable.
The “x” in Lexmark is designed that way to indicate two arrows pointing to one another to show connectedness.
The green color represents a fresh start, vibrance, freshness. It also represents financial health, rebirth and renewal. It shows sustainability and organic growth because Lexmark is a responsible global company.
