I’ve been doing sketches at least once a week.
I started this habit since last year, and I am continuing it this year.
So here’s the summary of sketches for the first month of 2017.
My girlfriend gave me a sketchbook as a Christmas gift.
The paper is suitable for pencil than for pen & ink. (Also suitable for watercolor because the paper is 200-300 gsm.)
So I was thinking of drawing some charcoal or pencil art.
I am a beginner when it terms to pencil/charcoal, so I made one as a practice.
Don’t expect too much 😉 Here’s Miaka and Tamahome from Fushigi Yuugi.
In the mall, I saw this Christmas Village as their decoration. It involves several miniature houses.
I pick a random house and tried sketching it as fast as I can because the security guard is staring at me on my right side.
Maybe he was disgusted by my drawing.
Anyway, the sketch took around 3-5 minutes. It is so quick that I almost feel like I was stealing a prototype design. (It’s your fault Mr. Security Guard).
Manny Pacquiao’s Opponent
Reading a newspaper for free while having breakfast.
And I saw this news about Manny Pacquiao practicing.
And then my creativity punches in.
I actually have a separate sketchbook for doodling.
I was amazed looking at the doodles online, and attempted to create one. (actually two)
The rules I applied is, whatever comes into my mind, I doodle it.
I tried appending the two, and now it becomes the cover for my Facebook page.
Minimalistic Art for Two Events
I heard two popular events in the Philippines. One is Sinulog, the other is Black Nazarene.
Both are religious activity and expected to have a huge crowd during the event.
As religious as it can be, it is also ironic.
And this is what I want to portray.
It’s tiresome going to the office or school after a big celebration.
The remaining sketches for this were taken while I was on vacation.
It was a good place to relax. I will blog it separately.
This one is the cottage next to our cottage.
There are oxygen tanks and gadgets indicating that they are for diving.
This one shows the array of cottages (starting from index 0).
The place has a pool and a beach. Really a relaxing place. (More on this on my next blog.)
And a few random creativity:
