I draw a lot this month. I think I’ve done 29 different sketches for this month.
A quick sketch during lunch.
Thinking of a Chinese-related drawing. So I came up with:
Okay, so this time my sketching skills will be tested.
One day, in the elevator, a guy (whom I do not know) suddenly opened up a conversation.
And since there is no one in the elevator except me, so he must be talking to me.
He talks about my friend. Asking how’s he doing. And then asking about my other friend regarding his ex-girlfriend.
Who is this guy?
So when he got out from the elevator, I grab my pen and paper and immediately sketch him.
This is like doing a cartographic sketch of a criminal—where a person describes the face of the suspect, and somebody draws it.
I even quote a few phrase from him.
Also, he went out of the elevator on the Xth floor. So chances are, he must be working on that floor.
So the investigation continues.
I contacted a friend of mine from the Xth floor, and show the sketch. Like a police asking “Do you know this guy?”
This is fun. If my sketch will lead to the “suspect”, if I can identify who the suspect is, then it would be satisfying and I can say I succeeded.
Fortunately, a friend of mine recognize someone. He said there is only one person who has that kind of hair.
He told me the name, look at his profile picture, and yes! I got the “suspect”. Success! 🙂
My friend told me he got something to discuss to his teammates.
I can feel his excitement.
A few hours later, I saw him standing in front of the white board discussing to his teammates.
His teammates are listening at first. And then they are talking about technical stuffs–flowcharts, design, etc.
Then I began laughing when I heard his teammates giving comments showing disapproval to what he discussed.
I sneak and pretending to walk pass them. And when my friend saw me, I made joking thumbs-down action.
I draw the scenario, and place the paper in a brown envelope. Put it in his cube as a remembrance of his “fruitful” discussion.
Note: I’m not harsh. This is just a friend-to-friend kind of joke where no one is aware. 😉
This is one of those moment where I want to scribble without care. Like just doing it freely, with energy.
This is the result: (from Dragonball series)
I enjoyed eating in this restaurant. So I made a random scribble while eating.
And then I was dismayed at their service.
While eating I requested for a water. The attendant nod, but eventually forgot.
I do a follow up on my water, and then waited for several minutes.
And then after eating, we ask for our bill. And still the same, we waited, and it seems that they forgot. (We could’ve just walk away. Kidding.)
Anyway, so we do a follow up again until our bill came in.
Waiting for our pizza.
Grabs a magazine.
Sketch the image from the mag.
We ate in this expensive ice cream store. And I drew in their tissue. The small ice cream spoon now becomes a paddle.
Another restaurant sketch. This time, I know exactly the owner of this restuarant — the Joker himself.
Just a parody.
(Bogan means inguen in english)
So I read a local newspaper and found an article about the mayor in the area.
And I made some quick scribble of him.
The result? It doesn’t look like him.
Here’s my messed up sketch. I shouldn’t put it here. But I don’t care.
This one below is supposedly Bruce Lee. Darn. It’s an idiotic drawing. 😀
And this one below is supposedly Kenny Rogers.
My goodness. I’m an amateur artist indeed.
I heard this restaurant is popular among pizza lovers.
KFC: Colonel Sanders
Sketching Colonel Sanders at the back of the receipt.
Scribbling a popular TV Series character.
Beauty and the Beast
Sketching this from the newspaper. It’s good to see government giving help to the poor.
Rich Prisoner vs Poor Prisoner
Found this article from the newspaper citing how a rich prisoner is handled differently compared to the poor/mid-level ones.
I told my girlfriend that:
Making a pun joke out of this popular Taiwanese TV drama.
Look. I never said this is Donald Trump.
A delicious snack and a relaxing place. Sketching this on the actual place. Total time: 19 minutes.
