I did mention on my previous sketchwalk that I was not able to visit on what’s inside Rizal Memorial Library and Museum.
Well, this time we’ll be going in.
Urban Sketchers Cebu visited the building administrator of the museum: Ka Bino Guerrero (https://kabinoguerrero.wordpress.com/).
We introduced ourselves and told him what we do. He also looks at our sketches.
He sees incoming opportunities for us soon.
After that, he showed us to the 2nd floor of the building where paintings and other cultural heritage sits in.
Unfortunately we cannot sketch in this place because it’s closed to the public (weekend), and we still have to ask permission.
Regardless, it’s nice looking at those paintings made by local artists.
(By the way, those pictures are approved by Ka Bino. I asked him if I could post it in my blog, and he said it’s okay.)
Anyway, we went outside the building looking for a spot to sketch.
I already sketched the front view of the building, so this time I’ll be sketching the vehicle part.
This is the left side part of the building which I was not able to include on my previous sketch.
The 3rd floor of the building is actually spacious room with stage in it.
Our next sketch will be in this room.
This room can be used in events like party, meetings, etc.
This time around, it is used as a wedding reception.
The catch here is, we need to sketch fast.
We started sketching when a few people are still in the area. They are setting up the tables, chairs, the camera, ready for wedding reception.
However, after a few moments (I don’t know how much time since I’m already unaware of the time), people are already going in. And everything’s started to get busy. And I already expected this.
And thus I got a very rough sketch of the place:
