It’s the 10th Anniversary of Urban Sketchers.
Urban Sketchers all across the globe are celebrating through an activity called 24 Hours Sketchwalk.
I must admit that at first I thought I’ll gonna do sketching the whole day. Like 24 hours.
And I’m actually thinking of bringing lots of water and stuff.
But it isn’t like that.
The global 24 Hours sketchwalk means each region or chapters or group, whatever you call it, will have an allotted time slot.
In such a way that by the end of 24 hours, every region where able to participate.
Each region are given a time slot. For instance, Cebu Philippines will own 11:45am. Other region is 12 noon, etc.. etc…
When that time slot comes, everyone will post their sketches in social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc).
So it’s not that tiresome as you think it is. 🙂
Here in Cebu, we started sketching at around 9:30am. The earliest is 8:30 (that’s me).
The place is in Fort San Pedro. That’s located inside Plaza Independencia.
I aim to sketch faster in order to finish before the allotted 11:30am time slot.
I started at 8:30. And by the next time I look at my watch, it’s already 11am. See how time flies when you’re sketching.
My original plan is to go home after the event.
But eventually decided to proceed after lunch.
Other Cebu Urban Sketchers are doing the same thing.
The second round is a bit problematic because it started to rain.
And this plaza is all open ground.
We look for a place for cover.
After awhile the drizzling stops.
And the round 2 of sketching begins.
Other Cebu entries are posted in Urban Sketchers Cebu blog.
